Almost 25 year ICU nurse who survived working COVID and now…now what? This is a story from the journals I’ve kept throughout my career, a career I’m considering walking away from for the sake of sanity. It’s raw but I promise it’ll be funny too. Who knows, maybe some new nurses might bear this in mind in their own careers and create change. I’m still trying to create some change as well.

Obviously I must write that ALL patients, co-workers, EVERYONE has had their names, situations, diagnoses and other information changed to protect their anonymity.
